GAVEA LIFTER
Gavea Lifter
50,000 tonnes Semi-submersible barge
GAVEA LIFTER (ex ZHONG REN 3), is the world's largest semi-submersible barge, with a deadweight of 50,000 tonnes. GAVEA LIFTER has been and is still today one of the few units that can transport two jack up rigs in one load.
Semi-submersible barges are ideal for dry transportation of floating units, as well as for dry-docking of large objects, in remote areas where no suitable dock is available. Combined with one or two FAIRMOUNT CLASS tugs, GAVEA LIFTER is an ideal transportation unit.
